We work within a store environment that specializes in souvenir and gifts for the tourist market. Our employees are friendly and outgoing, approaching customers in a non-assertive manner and engaging in conversations that will facilitate the purchase of items from the store.If the above also describes you and your approach, we would love to read further and consider joining our team!Job Overview:

  • Greet customers and help them find the souvenirs and / or gifts as quickly and efficiently as possible, as well as process point-of-sale transactions and keep work area neat and clean, including restocking as items sold
Ideal Candidate:
  • Customer service is the most important attribute
  • Retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Others describe you as dependable with a friendly, outgoing, positive attitude
  • Able to approach strangers to ask if they need help with ease
  • Able to learn about the products we sell so to recommend to customers when asked
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a small team
  • Able to work on feet for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, as needed from time to time
  • Strong English language skills
  • Basic to strong math / cash handling skills
  • Able to use or learn how to use our Point of Sales (POS) quickly and effectively
  • Bondable and able to secure security clearance required to work at Halifax Stanfield International Airport
