Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, as Housekeeping Supervisor at the Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport you will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping team in setting direction, achieving brand and property goals and supervising the Housekeeping departmental operations. The Housekeeping Shift Supervisor also serves as a resource and support to all Departments to ensure a smooth overall operation of the hotel in the absence of Department Heads and other Managers.

  • Provide leadership for the Housekeeping team and leading by example
  • Ensure high morale and productivity levels through staff planning, training, development
  • Work closely with all employees to achieve continuous learning & training
  • Focus on consistent delivery of Hilton’s Vision, Mission, and Values by all Housekeeping team members
  • Promote hotel policies and procedures; support internal networks i.e. Health & Safety
  • General administrative support: scheduling, ordering, inventories
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure exceptional service
  • Answering guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service
  • Improve and maintain the overall cleanliness of the hotel
  • Complete inspections of guest rooms and public areas
