GSA’s, under the guidance of Lead GSA’s direct aircraft into the gate, load, unload and sort all luggage and freight, de-ice the aircraft, service lavatories, fill the aircraft’s portable water supply and direct the aircraft during gate push-back.Job DutiesResponsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all timesAssist in ramp set up and storage of equipment and baggageActively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS)Marshal aircraft on the ramp, includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraftResponsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage and airfreight (if applicable), including loading and offloading aircraft, sorting and transfer of baggage to carouselsService aircraft as needed i.e. aircraft lavatories, potable water fills, cabin grooming and deicingObserve safe ground-handling procedures and maintenance of ground service equipment, including the performance of equipment checksComply with all safety procedures and airline policiesConstantly communicate with flight crew personnel and other ground personnelActively participate in SA’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazard and incidents encountered in daily operations. Understand, comply with and promote the company Safety PolicyParticipate in training to comprehend, implement, and maintain all quality objectives as stated in our Quality Management System to ensure delivery of desired levels of operational safety and security.All employees are responsible for ensuring quality control in their own activities.Cooperate fully with Inspectors to achieve quality inspection commitmentParticipate in training to comprehend, implement, and maintain all quality objectives as stated in our Quality Management System to ensure delivery of desired levels of operational safety and security.All employees are responsible for ensuring quality control in their own activities.Cooperate fully with Inspectors to achieve quality inspection commitmentsPerforms other duties as requiredRequirementsBe legally entitled to work in CanadaPossess a valid driver’s licenseAbility to work on a permanent basis in CanadaObtain a clear criminal recordAbility to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearancesMust be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basisAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedulesMust successfully complete airline specific training programs and recertificationCore CompetenciesAble to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independentlyOperate Ground Service Equipment in a safe and respectful mannerAble to work well under pressure and meet set deadlinesAttention to detail in all areas of workStrong work ethic and positive team attitudeThank you for your application with Strategic Aviation Ltd.
