Job Description

We are currently looking for a Breakfast Bar Attendant. At Holiday Inn Express® we want our guests to rest and feel energized and ready for the day ahead which means we need team members to demonstrate the following service behaviors:

  • Make a Connection - show guests that they are important and make them feel at ease by taking time to acknowledge them in a friendly way
  • Be Helpful - familiarize yourself with all the services in the hotel and the local area to answer any question and give guests what they need to find their own way
  • Be Efficient - take ownership and play your part to get things done by making things easier for guests; doing as much as in advance and multi-task when you need to
Responsibilities include:
  • Set up and replenish buffet ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are met
  • Focus on consistence delivery of Holiday Inn Express Start breakfast standards
  • Greet and ensure guests in the area are provided with a clean and comfortable table to enjoy their breakfast
  • Clean, reset, bus tables in breakfast area
  • Clean, refill and reset the breakfast bar and kitchen area
  • Follow food safety standards
  • Maintain coffee service areas
  • Daily use of dishwasher and cleaning all dishes, utensils, glassware and cutlery utilized in the breakfast area
  • Consistently practices guest and associate privacy and security
  • Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with minimal direction
  • Able to take initiative, follow timelines and meet deadlines
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and organization skills
  • WHMIS an asset
  • Safe Food handling training an asset
  • Early morning shifts, day, evening, weekends and holiday hours as required
  • Position requires standing, moving, bending
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
