The best part is that you will work with people that care passionately about you, our clients, and our communities.As an Actuarial Consultant in the Product Analytics team, you will apply your business and analytics expertise to drive actionable insight to enable key business decisions to optimize the health of our Property and Casualty insurance portfolios (automobile, home, commercial and farm) while upholding the organization’s established data and analytics’ governance.How you will create impact:

  • Actively monitoring and analyzing results to diagnose the health of our Property & Casualty insurance portfolios and identify emerging trends.
  • Utilizing data and analytics to identify actionable insights to solve product and underwriting business problems and identify potential opportunities to improve the performance of our portfolios.
  • Collaborating with business partners to support profitability analysis, communicating key insights and findings, and influencing them to take action on the findings.
  • Autonomously delivering and designing analytics solutions to enable effective story telling and descriptive/diagnostic analysis, influencing business requirements, and supporting project teams on the delivery, including testing and suggesting improvements.
  • Increasing efficient teamwork by providing guidance, coaching and training to the team and business partners on the use of dashboards and self-serve tools, promoting team involvement, acting as a resource, and guiding leaders in assessing and analyzing data for their use in decision making.

To join our team:
  • You have five years of experience in an analytical role within actuarial, mathematics, statistics, finance or a related field.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Holding an Associate or Fellowship designation of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS) is an asset.
  • You have advanced knowledge of data preparation, programming languages and statistical methods and tools.
  • You have advanced knowledge of insurance products, practices and metrics, including portfolio management, actuarial concepts and insurance business and regulatory environment.
