Our success is driven by our skilled and diverse team who are passionate about excellence, innovation, and agility.The AVP, Identity and Access Management will be the focal point for IAM across the enterprise. Key functions include: management of an operational area, oversight of partnerships for IAM assessments and support, delivery of a multi-year IAM technology deployment program, and consultation with business and technology partners on an enterprise-wide IAM program. This role will drive modernization, automation, and optimization of the IAM function, and our zero trust journey, through strategic investments, while ensuring our users, clients, and partners have the right access when they need it.How you will create impact:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of IAM Framework, which includes IAM Governance, Access Certification, Identity Administration, Access Management, Role Based Access Control, Password Management, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Work closely among security functional groups for alignment, integration, and harmony of security governance and practices, as well as across Technology and Business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the strategic roadmap and program the Identity and Access Management function, as one component of the overall Enterprise Information Security Strategy.
  • Lead and oversee the continuous assessment of the current state of IAM against zero-trust models, continuous assessment of the future state, and oversight of the maturity roadmap of the program.
  • Provide leadership to staff members in team and perform associated management functions including recruitment and selection, employee development, promoting staff engagement, performance management and coaching for results and time and attendance tracking.
  • Lead the development of value and compliance metrics to assess progress and improvement of the security function with respect to identity and access management.

To join our team:
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation would be considered an asset
  • Technical knowledge of the technology stack (from infrastructure to applications to cloud services) in order to support an effective IAM strategy.
  • Broad understanding of business operations, strategies, and processes to guide the design, development and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and information security management frameworks (e.g. OSFI CSSA, PCI, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST)
  • Solid understanding of IAM risk management practices and implementation both on-prem and in the cloud, leveraging the zero trust model.
  • Broad Insurance industry knowledge and awareness to drive operational performance across IT and the enterprise
  • Solid understanding of the capabilities and appreciation for complexity of enterprise integration that covers a broad range of technologies
