We were established in Ariss, Ontario in 1983 by John and Johanna Oosterhuis.Hopewell provides high-quality personal care for children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs, as well as support for their families.Our unique culture and well-deserved reputation for extraordinary staff and exceptional care have allowed Hopewell to expand to seven locations, meeting the needs of over 500 families throughout Wellington County.Job Summary:The Behavioural Support Worker works as a professional within a clinical multidisciplinary team that follows a biopsychosocial model of intervention for children, youth and adults with complex developmental, physical and emotional challenges. They assist with household management tasks and essential activities of daily living in accordance with the care/service plan of each supported individual. They consider the preferences, comfort, and safety of multiple stakeholders (the individual, family and care partners) in the provision of all supports. A significant role of the Behavioural Support Worker is to implement behaviour support plans and to support individuals who are experiencing challenging moments.
