Our Hybrid Workplace policy allows for an effective balance for employees with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment; a combination of Remote / In-office work based on operational requirements.Position Purpose: The Analyst acts as a prime contact responsible for effectively managing the relationship between the enterprise, key accounts, and the retailers while ensuring the integrity of the transactions with these trading partners. This role participates in the daily activities required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of meter data collection & validation and customer billing.Responsibilities:

  • Participates in all of the daily billing activities including:
  • Reviews and analyzes daily reports
  • Provides guidance for escalated customers and retailer concerns, including Class A customers
  • Provides back-up guidance for bill production co-ordinates
  • Monitors and analyze all designated accounts
  • Participates in the rate reclassification process
  • Creates and administrates of Final RPP Variance Adjustments
  • Identifies, analyzes and resolves complex billing issues and errors
  • Co-ordinates and inputs service cycle schedule in CC&B
  • Administers and validates daily, monthly activities as they relate to retailer relations
  • Manages, administers and updates existing and new Retailer Service Agreements
  • Determines the accurate Prudential amount monitor the administration of prudential requirements
  • Reviews, analyzes and responds to any inquiries from retailers, customers and co-workers
  • Participates in testing any new or enhanced functionality in CIS
  • Participates as a prime tester for any EBT testing
  • Provides technical expertise in the planning, design and implementation of projects and key initiatives
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
  • Ensures compliance to legislative, regulatory and Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications: Education
  • Post Secondary Education Business or related discipline
  • Must hold and maintain a valid class “G” driver’s license
Specialized knowledge
  • Knowledge of both utility and retailer business processes
  • Understands meter to cash, end to end business processes
  • Solid working knowledge and extensive understanding of the Retail Settlement Code, Standard Service Supply Code, Affiliate Relationship Code and EBT standards
  • XML schema for EBT transactions
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Advanced Excel Skills an asset
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ equivalent business experience
  • Meter data and billing validations
  • Proven experience in end to end system testing for new enhanced functionality
  • Experience in a unionized utility environment an asset

  • Ability to adapt to a continuously evolving market
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide practical and/or innovative solutions to complex technical issues
  • Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information in an organized and concise way
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
