We are currently seeking a Biologicals Marketing Lead for the Biological Management Team in Canada.Role Purpose

  • Accountable for the product forecasting and brand planning for endophytes, biostimulants, biological fungicides/insecticides and the pre-commercial planning for biologicals that align with Seedcare timing of application (biocontrols, biostimulants and biofertility)
  • Development and implementation support of targeted biological customer engagement strategy, and marketing tactics to grower and channel customers to support the key business objectives
  • Leadership of Biological Product Launch Teams and support for in-field promotional activities through demonstrated passion for biologicals
  • Function as a key collaborator with Product Marketing, Customer marketing, Marketing operations, District Sales teams, Key Account Management (KAM) and Biological Technical Services to;
  • Ensure the development of integrated sales and marketing campaigns and supporting tactics are effective for targeted customer segments
  • Align with channel strategy and overall territory strategy to deliver business results
  • We have a Flexible Work Location approach, and this role can be based in Guelph, Ontario, Calgary, Alberta or remotely across Canada.
What will you do:
  • Key member of Biological Management team focused on delivering biologicals to market and filling gaps in the near and long term with biological solutions
  • With a long term view, build on the 5-year overall biological brand strategy and strategic plan, that will drive our growth ambitions
  • Be a key liaison between Product marketing, Customer marketing, Sales, Account management, Customer Services, Technical Services and other marketing functions
  • Interpretation of market dynamics and market intelligence to develop deep understanding of the biological business and our channel, grower and competition
  • Establish and track agreed-to marketshare and contribution objectives as part of campaign measurement of KPIs to guide future activities
  • Support market analysis for competitive positioning and competitive reactions
  • Set direction and guide positioning, messaging and activities to achieve the commercial business priorities
You are someone with:
  • 4 year degree in Agriculture or Business
  • Minimum 10 years experience in agriculture industry
  • Knowledge of Canadian agriculture (including agronomic,crop protection products with emphasis on biologicals markets and practices)
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, segmentation, competitive environment and ability to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets and channels
  • Knowledge of principles of marketing including campaign and crop plans, CRM, account management, and long-term valuation
  • Knowledge of financial and general accounting principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills; ability to build credibility and repport with key stakeholders quickly
  • Ability to both lead and work within crossfunctional teams
  • Creative problem solver, analytical thinker and concise decision maker
  • Effective at project management, planning and organizing
  • A valid passport; 20% travel involved
