Job Description

Production ClerkThe Clerk – Production position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within the facility, prepare work and production schedules and monitor the progress of production and construction projects. Additional responsibilities include fill requisitions for specialized or diversified line or apparatus and drawing on resources within the organization in order to meet the needs of the production cycle. In addition, provide estimated product completion information and schedule preparation and/or shipments.Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.Performance Expectations· Sets up and operates conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centres to fabricate metallic parts, Machine set-up and programming.· Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as needed.· Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.· Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.· Tool changes.· Perform and document machine tool capability studies.· Ensures that machine settings and programs are adhered to during production as per the Tool List and Cycle Time sheets.· Perform regular machine maintenance.· Work in compliance to TS 16949 Procedures/Systems.· Housekeeping and light maintenance of the quality assurance work areas.· Interpret scale drawings, such as blueprints, to plan work schedules or identify material requirements.· Write notes and various production reports and enter production data into AS400.· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:· ISO 14001: Environmental Management system standard.· ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety.Credentials· High School Diploma or equivalent general education and work experience.· Ability to read purchase orders to check that specifications, price and delivery dates.· Ability to calculate average production rates to schedule and plan work.· Ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Desired Characteristics· Ability to work independently within a team environment.· Possess good problem solving skills.· Demonstrate customer service skills in order to interact with clients.· Maintain current certifications and engage in continuous learning in order to keep up with new developments in field.What Linamar Has To Offer· Opportunities for career advancement.· Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.· Social committees and sports teams.· Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.About UsSkyjack supplies construction rental companies globally with quality engineered, simple, and reliable access and telehandler equipment.
