Job Description

Community Profile Coordinator – Full-Time Temporary - $22.98/ hrAre you between the ages of 19 to 30 years old, who has or is working towards a diploma/degree in Journalism, Marketing, Sociology or Community Services that would like to gain experience in this field over the summerWe are looking for a Community Profile Coordinator to work 28 hours a week for 10 weeks in Guelph. As a Community Profile Coordinator, you will be gaining experience in project management, content creation, and community services by developing profiles of 30 – 40 community members for CLGW social media platforms and websites.Why work with us

Whats the job
  • Use research efforts to establish a diverse and inclusive list of profile candidates
  • Develop and administer consent forms for profile sharing
  • Generate a standardized interview template and perform cold calls on profile candidates
  • Using interview material, create story profiles highlighting the lives of 30 – 40 members of the community to be shared on CLGW’s social media platforms and website
  • Upon completion of the project, create and propose a report outlining the project mission and process, learning points, suggestions for future implementation, and outcomes
What do you bring to the job
  • Post-secondary education in Journalism, Marketing, Community Services, Sociology or related field
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be between the ages of 19 to 30 years old as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements
