Eden House is seeking a Dietary Aide to work in our Long Term Care Home. Eden House is located off HWY # 7 between Guelph and Rockwood.Shifts: Sat, Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri, Tues and Wed for 2 weeks period.Key Responsibilities:Committed to fulfilling the job embodying the philosophy of the Home and Residents bill of RightsFollow all policies and procedures of the Home as well as residents care plansMaintains a safe and clean environment as well as practices body mechanics especially relating to liftingCompletes all mandatory in-services and meetingsContributes to and participates in a healthy work environment especially in regards to respect and communication with other staffIs attentive to resident and family concerns and requests and re-directs when appropriatecan only work in one Health Care setting until further notice by ministryQualification:Must have Food Handler CertificateSuccessfully completed/or enrolled in Food Service Worker ProgramMust be able to work independently as well as in a team environmentMust be able to work with residents with cognitive impairment and residents with behavior challengesMUST have own transportation as we are in a country setting and there are no means of public transitmust be able to work alternate weekends and help with call-insExperience in Long Term Care, but will train the right candidate.
