Job Description

DispatcherPowering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.Join our dynamic team as a Dispatcher. You will work with our skilled fleet of truck drivers to ensure that all freight is assigned and delivered in a timely and professional manner and that customer needs are satisfied.Shift: Monday - Friday night shift (additional overtime and weekends).Performance ExpectationsPlan and direct highway and/or local drivers on daily freight pick-up and deliveriesPre-plan driver’s trip itineraries and communicate those with all driversTrack equipment, freight, and drivers through use of satellite and/or two-way radioCommunicate and direct customer service on issues and information that need to be communicated to customers, such as freight delivery delays and billing issuesCollect, sort, and distribute all driver trip envelopesEnsure that all driver trip envelops are complete and accurateEnsure that all customer needs and freight requirements are met through instructions and trip planning of the driversPrioritize loads and customers to accommodate changes and problems as they ariseCredentialsCompletion of Secondary school diplomaAbility to interpret and give both verbal and written instructionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrioritization skills and be multi-task orientedAbility to develop and maintain co-operative working relationships with co-workers and customerAbility to accomplish task in a controlled, effective manner while working under stressKeen attention to detailLeads and directs the work of othersWhat Linamar Has To OfferOpportunities for career advancement.Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.Social committees and sports teams.Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.About UsLinamar Corporation is a Canadian diversified global manufacturing company of highly engineered products across global industries & markets.
