Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a full time Documentation Coordinator on the Day-shift (Monday to Fridays 6:30 am to 2:45 pm) located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.The Johnson & Johnson Guelph site is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, the worlds most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products, as well as a provider of related services, for the consumer, pharmaceutical, and medical devices and diagnostics markets. Based in Markham, Ontario, Johnson & Johnson Inc. employs approximately 400 people and is supported by the Guelph, Ontario manufacturing sites.The Documentation Coordinator works under the supervision of the Packaging Supervisor. Main responsibility is to coordinate all paperwork and system control transactions related to packaging process orders and other packaging related administration and documentation. The Coordinator is also a system power user and subject matter expert used for all systems utilized in packaging and is responsible for application such as SAP and BIOVIA LES. Responsibilities also include communication to external departments related to bulk and component availability.   • Understands and adheres to company policies, GMPs and SOPs
  • Monitors and communicates changes to the daily and weekly Production schedule
  • Revision of Packaging SOPs and process orders
  • Actively participates in Packaging meetings
  • Accurate and timely preparation and review of packaging paperwork
  • Recommends changes to line scheduling based on material availability
  • Ensures accurate and timely recording and tagging of case counts, line events, downtime, and sku changes in the Plant Cockpit system. Department goal of 95% completion of downtime events
  • Troubleshoot and resolve packaging documentation issues
  • Assists with implementing change controls
  • Daily review of Packaging documentation on the floor throughout the shift
  • Performs the job of the Packaging Operator when necessary
  • Performs IPCs as required
  • Acts as system subject matter expert (MES and SAP)
  • Prepare process order for all lines
  • Attend the Daily/weekly scheduling meetings and update the scheduling board as required in a timely fashion.
  • Prepares documentation for the start of a batch/run
  • Performs all SAP and BIOVIA LES transactions and is able to troubleshoot as required
  • Coordinate all activities at the completion of the run
  • Perform reconciliation and final documentation review for all packaging runs
  • Communicated documentation activities with the next shift
  • Supports project and change management activities
  • Works closely with process leader in leading shift activities
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for change
  • Determine and communicate with Warehouse personnel if additional components will be required.
  • Prepare components return tickets and complete SAP transactions for components return
  • Issue labels and ensure labels are physically moved and locked in designated line cart
  • Remove and log scrap bulk
  • Designated contact person together with Operations technician.
  • Orders supplies as required.
  • Delivers QL analytical and microbiology samples to Quality lab.
  • Requesting, handling and logging in Paper PPO’s
Safety
  • Operates in and ensures team members compliance with all company safety policies and practices including all protective equipment.
  • Instructs others in safe operation of equipment as required.
  • Understands and adheres to all health and safety aspects and S.O.P.’s.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe conditions / near misses.
  • Successful completion of WHMIS, Safety Orientation, and Safe Start.
  • Ensures that equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Understands the ability to use the incident database. Timely determination of corrective action.
Documentation
  • Strong computer literacy is required
  • Experience with SAP is required
  • Timely review of batch documentation for reconciliation to meet company standards
  • Provide personnel with coaching regarding errors found
  • Ensures all documentation is complete and filed.
Material Handling
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuvering of equipment as required
  • Successfully operates pump trucks.
  • Adheres to the elevator procedure.
  • Destroys and disposes of material in accordance with SOP’s
Leadership and Team Building
  • The ability to Organize the shift at the start, allocating resources and employees to effectively meet the schedule.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and leading the shift handover
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Exhibits a mature and cooperative attitude to promote an atmosphere of sensitivity and good communication and teamwork within the department.
  • Ability to lead the team in the absence of the Supervisor
Sanitation
  • Responsible for work area cleanliness and compliance to the standard operating procedure.
Communication
  • Ability to communicate with packaging employees both within across shifts (Line issue, escalation of issues, clear and concise handover).
  • Ability to perform effectively Crucial conversations in a timely manner as required.
Miscellaneous
  • Occasionally will be required to work overtime to achieving packaging targets
QualificationsEducation:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required
Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a Packaging, Operations or Quality environment in the pharmaceutical, food or water industries
  • Minimum of 6 years of total work experience
  • Strong digital literacy and some SAP system knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize workload
  • Some shift flexibility and the ability to work overtime is an asset
  • Enjoys working to multiple deadlines in a multifaceted and fast-paced team environment
  • Technical writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical/OTC and/or GMP environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuvering of equipment is required
  • Will work with their computer every day on an almost continuous basis
  • They will need to be able to sustain their visual focus and concentration for extended periods
