We design, support, engineer, and test all our systems in-house so we can deliver ready-to-go packages to our clients.As our new Service and PLC Technician, you will play a key role who will be supporting the production and operation of our Rain Water package systemsAbout half your time will be spent in our shop putting together systems, ensuring the PLC software is uploaded correctly. Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components to ensure functionality of PLC and Relay based panels / systems. The other half of the time, you will work on site working with clients to support on-site commissioning and start-up of equipment, as well as conducting service and maintenance visits.With us, you’ll enjoy a highly varied role and the opportunity to work on large and complex systems for clients with diverse needs. As part of our team, you can have all that and more.Your duties will include:

  • Assist in the manufacture, start up, service and maintenance of systems on sites across Ontario.
  • Assist in the manufacture and assembly of systems. Installing and setting up instrumentation and water treatment equipment pertaining to control panel wiring, uploading of PLC/HMI programs, and loading VFD parameters
  • Perform a series of In-house tests and quality control procedures to ensure systems are functioning correctly and ready to be shipped out to customers.
  • Assist in packaging and gathering materials/equipment for delivery to site
  • Prepare O&M manuals and installation instructions for contractors who will be installing our systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to procedures, reports, quality control, and technical documents / templates
  • Perform plumbing work including fixing leaks, swapping out valves and fittings
  • Attend engineering meetings and provide feedback and continuous improvement to the engineering team
  • Maintain system components (pumps, motors, flow meters, valves, pressure transmitters, filters, UV lamps, etc.) to optimize performance and reliability
  • Working and marking up electrical and mechanical drawings related to controls, pump and water treatment systems to ensure correct system functions
  • Assist in other shop duties as required
  • On site commissioning and start-up of equipment, including providing operator training
  • Working with the schedule coordinator to schedule service and maintenance visits with customers to provide warranty and post warranty support

Network experience would be a plus but not required.Relevant experience in technical, installation, maintenance, or a service background.Knowledge of fluid dynamics, electrical theory, concepts, wiring and controls.Exposure to pumps, motors, VFD’s and process controls in water treatment applications would be an assetAbility to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, P&IDsTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsValid G license with willingness to travel within the GTA and southern Ontario regularlyWorking @ Net Zero WaterNet Zero Water is part of the Interpump Family.
