Job Description

Our client, a Not for Profit therapeutic community in Guelph needs a fulltime, permanent Full Cycle Bookkeeper to join their team.Our client provides a range of residential and community-based treatment services to individuals struggling with addiction and concurrent mental health issues. Our agency is committed to taking the journey together and supporting those with whom we work to grow, thrive, and contribute to society. This role will report to the Finance Manager and comes with full company paid benefits and other desirable benefits not usually found in roles of this type.Responsibilities:

  • Performing various bookkeeping duties such as A/P and reconciling various Visa accounts
  • On-boarding new employees
  • Scheduling employees
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Assist in orientation of all new employees as it applies to scheduling and payroll
  • Maintain Master Schedule and various trackers
  • Weekly Resident Funds Activities (including Federal Allowance, Inventory and Purchasing)
  • Assist Financial Manager with billings
  • Filing and providing general administrative support to Finance Manager
  • Other duties as required
Competencies:
  • Full cycle bookkeeping experience an asset
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook an asset
  • Experience in working with multiple funders and recording transactions to various classes an asset
  • Working knowledge of payroll administration
  • Experience with Dayforce , Powerpay and BambooHR an asset
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in a not for profit setting is an asset
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with ease
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work within deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Administration
  • Valid Drivers License and Reliable Vehicle
