Job Description

Temporary Full-Time Direct Support ProfessionalAre you someone that is looking for a full-time position that pays $24.47 per hour (plus $3 per hour Government Pandemic Pay = $27.47/hour) Do you like to know in advance what your schedule would be so you can plan your life around work Are you someone who is flexible and wants the opportunity to pick up more hours through an on-call process If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you!For those looking for Permanent positions, this may be the opportunity to get your foot in the door and be able to apply for other postings of a permanent nature in the future!Why work with us

  • We have multiple temporary full-time positions in Guelph, Fergus, Mount Forest/Harriston & Erin
  • Exceptional wages with full-time hours (minimum 60 hours bi-weekly)

Whats the job
  • Participate in all activities of daily living (i.e. cleaning, cooking, medication dispensing, personal care, as well as potential lifts and transfers)
  • Promote community inclusion, independence and self-determination for the people we support
  • Support individuals to identify, work towards, and achieve their dreams and personal outcomes
  • Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively within a team and with families
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
  • Act as a resource and liaise with families and community agencies
What do you bring to the job
  • Experience working with people who have diverse needs- both physical and emotional
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License (G1 & G2 do not meet requirements)
  • Able to work various shifts (i.e. weekends, days, afternoons, sleep/awake nights) in the same work week, but scheduled in such a way that does not violate ESA regulations
