This is role at our air-conditioned, clean, well-organized Manufacturing facility in Guelph Ontario.The hours are two weeks on day shift 7:00AM -3:30PM (Monday-Friday) then rotate to afternoon shift for two weeks 3:30PM-2:00AM (Monday -Thursday). Training will be on day shift.Responsibilities & Requirements:ResponsibilitiesMachine new parts and repairs to Flowserve and customer specifications in a timely manner with minimum or no errors while ensuring safe and organized working environment at all timesManufacture quality product with zero defects on a consistent basisOperate machine shop equipment efficientlyManufacture or repair product on time as defined by the production scheduleContinuous Improvement (CIP)Consistently demonstrate behaviors that promote facility enhancement and improvementAcquire training for all machines as neededRun all machinery in the shopAlways maintain clean and organized work areasMaintain all tooling and machinery for efficient and safe operationPerform regular machinery and equipment maintenance in the shopDocument all maintenance performedEnsure all personal measuring equipment is calibrated and documented as per the requirements of our Quality program.Assist in maintaining internal equipment calibrations and documenting as required in both the shop and fieldComplete a final inspection on all parts, stamp heat codes and part numbers in both the shop and field.Adhere to all Safety Procedures & PolicyComplete all Pure Safety and other safety training as requiredComplete a final inspection on all parts, mark heat codes and part numbersWork to achieve company production goals on time delivery objectivesAdhere to and maintain quality work practices, qualifications, and proceduresResponsible for maintaining a safe workplace through proper housekeeping, use tools and equipment safety and complying with Flowserve applicable Safety, Health, and Environment standards, policy, rules and proceduresEnsure equipment maintenance program is carried outWill work in all areas as workload requiresRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCandidates with apprenticeship will be given preferenceSome skill in using precision measuring instruments, such as Micrometers, Verniers, Bore Gauges, Pressure Gauges, Meters, Dial Indicators, Rulers and Depth GaugesMust be willing to demonstrate a track record of reliable, dependable work ethic with a personal commitment to quality workmanshipShow an attention to detail, a respect for processes & instructions customer-service, and be results-oriented mindset at all timesStanding for long times required, full range of movement required, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 poundsMust be able to work overtime and weekends as required on short noticeBasic computer skills - Word / Excel Must be flexible to work in all areas as workload requiresPreferred Experience / Skills:Minimal experience in Manual and/or CNC machiningRiggingJob Advertising Title: General Machinist ApprenticePrimary Posting Location: Guelph, CanadaJob Posting Category: OperationsEmployment Type: Full timeAuto req ID: 51638BRCountry: CanadaFlowserve is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, gender, disability or protected veteran status.
