Job Description

Guelphs own Market fresh is currently seeking a Grocery Clerk to join our growing business.Heres a little about us: Since 2000 we have prided ourselves on bringing our customers wholesome fresh and local gourmet food.Were an independent family run business with a great team of people who love food and community as much as we do. Our butcher shop, bakery, deli, green grocer and kitchen all specialize in sourcing and creating delicious eats and treats that showcase the best of the region and season. Were located in the heart of downtown Guelph. We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 1 year of grocery experience in a similar role.Heres what you get!

Heres what we get!
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in grocery department or similar role (we are willing to train the right candidate)
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm in a busy environment
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
Job responsibilities for Grocery Clerk
  • Provide exceptional service to our customers
  • Stock, merchandise, and create displays
  • Help out with product deliveries
  • Maintain product quality by date checks and product rotation
  • Follow Food, Health, and Workplace Safety standards
Work Conditions
  • Work is performed in a retail store environment
  • Interaction with employees, customers and management
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 25 pounds
  • Flexible hours including days, afternoons and weekends
