If you have energy, enthusiasm, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, please read on.The Human Resources team is currently seeking an HR Generalist to provide professional HR support to HRBP’s, business leaders and employees. The role will support the operational HR functions in Canada including intern and new employee onboarding, payroll and benefit support, employee relations, recruitment, diversity initiatives, and efforts related to improving the overall work environment.This role has a hybrid work model with a Flexible Work Location approach. If you are based in Guelph, Waterloo and/or Southwestern Ontario this might be a great opportunity for you!What will you do:Talent Aquistion

  • Manage day to day relationships with recruitment agencies
  • Manage process and communication of role openings
  • Support full cycle reucitment process and assist Talent Aquisition team with role posting, digital marketing, and reference checks
  • Manage newhire onboarding program
  • Manage adminsitration of Syngenta Canada Intern Program
  • Participate in career fairs and other talent events
  • Administer the contract employee program
Benefit & Payroll Administration Support
  • Support Payroll and Benefit Lead in adminstering employee benefits (enrollment, life events, salary changes etc.)
  • Adminster cheque requests for group benefits (healthcare spending, salary continuance etc.)
  • Adminsiter benefit reconsilliation and invoice processing
  • Adminsiter other Sygnenta Canada programming in conjunction with HR Operations processes
HRPB Support
  • Partnering with HRBP to ensure accuracy of organizational structure within HR systems and ensure timely and accurate changes are made in the system.
  • Handle operational HR support for employees and managers with respect to answering HR queries, HR system (Workday) changes
Digital Expertise
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Workday preferred)
  • High level exerperience with online digital platforms (Sharepoint, Teams etc.)
  • Experience with online meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams etc.)
  • Excellent MS Office Suite (Excel, word, powerpoint)
You are someone with:
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Business, Human Resource Management or a related field).
  • 3-5 years’ minimum of focused employee experience & HR generalist work
  • CHRP or working towards your CHRP preferred
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Workday preferred)
  • High level exerperience with online digital platforms (Sharepoint, Teams etc.)
  • Experience with online meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams etc.)
  • Excellent MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
