Job Description

Stonehenge Therapeutic Community is a client centered not-for-profit in the Guelph area, providing specialized support services for clients with addictions challenges. We believe that every individual has the capacity to grow and contribute to society .About the Role: Under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager at Stonehenge Therapeutic Community, the Human Resources Assistant will assist in overseeing the administrative aspect of the HR function. As Stonehenge is a small and progressive employer, this role will wear many hats, and they will work in many of the areas of Human Resources.Role Type: Full TimeHours of Work: 35/wk, M-FriWhy Work for Us

Qualifications: _Recruitment Coordination_
  • Update online job posting requirements when needed; maintain tracking systems
  • Complete initial screening phone calls with candidates to determine eligibility and suitability
  • Communicate with candidates to arrange interviews for Leadership Team where required
  • Provide interview support by attending panel interviews when needed
  • Conduct reference checks on candidates, per PWGSC guidelines
  • Provide candidates with information on clearance processes
  • Update recruitment forms/packages as requested
  • Represent organization at community and recruiting events
Student Placement Coordination
  • Liaise with the Leadership Team to determine capacity to host placement students
  • Maintain relationships with college and university field placement coordinators
  • Recruit and screen, potential students; support in arranging interviews
  • Arrange orientation for incoming placement students; Ensure file compliance
  • Follow-up with students to ensure completion of end of placement evaluation
Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support through STC’s HRIS and online training portal including:
  • Following up on required documentation to ensure employee file compliance, including tracking completion of mandatory training and maintaining staff lists
  • Filing documentation as appropriate
  • In collaboration with full time staff, support in organizing and managing new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs; Assist with onboarding new staff in absence of the HR Manager
  • Provide administrative support to the Leadership team for the Agency’s performance evaluation process
  • Provide administrative support for the Agency’s policy portal (PolicyTech) including:
  • Ensuring employees complete their required training through the PolicyTech system
  • Assisting in managing the employee policy review schedule on an ongoing basis
  • Updating policies, procedures and documents with the direction of the HR Manager on behalf of the Agency in accordance with best practices and the requirements set out by relevant legislation and/or funding sources
Health and Safety Support
  • Support the Health and Safety initiatives at the Agency by:
  • Being an active member of the H&S committee
  • Assisting Operations/Logistics with H&S related audits and inspections
  • Organizing and/or facilitating training required to maintain compliance with H&S regulations
  • Supporting Operations/Logistics as needed concerning H&S compliance and initiatives
  • Complete other HR projects and duties as assigned by the HR Manager
