Royal City Nursery is a third generation, family owned garden centre and design / build firm, serving Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge for 60 years. We take pride in our client relationships and are looking for like-minded individuals to join our growing landscape division.As our ideal landscape design candidate, you will be responsible for supporting our principal designers through the landscape design process, including completion of accurate site measurements and base plans, management of digital platforms and the maintenance of customer relationships. You will have at least 1 to 2 years related experience in landscape design and construction, a G class drivers license with clean drivers abstract. In addition, you· have a keen eye for detail and organization· possess an ability to creatively solve outdoor living space issues· want to interact with clients to create appropriate site inventory and analysis, design presentation and sales through to installation management.· assist in the accurate estimation of each job and sourcing of information for subsequent job costing· posses a sound, working knowledge of plant material hardy to Southern Ontario.· have a good working knowledge of Microsoft excel, email platforms and trello.com· have a minimum of a College level Landscape Diploma, BLA or equivalent.· have your own vehicleWe can be flexible with hours; as this can be a part- or full-time position (minimum 20 hours per week) with the potential of growing into a more permanent position.
