Job Description

Lead Hand, ShippingGet Inspired by the Work Youll DoSpecific to Shipping Department:

  • Assist the shipping staff to meet the daily pick, pack and ship (PPS) goal of 100%
  • Ensure that product pick is prioritized according to ship method cutoff times
  • Ensure that pick lists are efficiently distributed to Product Pick Clerks to achieve maximum productivity
  • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, order changes, inventory errors, etc.
  • Ensure that shipping procedures are followed
  • Perform basic research, confirmation and follow-up of products shipped
  • Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment
  • Generate invoice/shipping/packing labels
  • Train other clerks on QC standards
Applicable to all Departments
  • Provide clear, concise and timely customer service to all departments
  • Complete end of shift reports, manifests, invoicing reports
  • Error investigation and reconciliation
  • Receipt and tracking of non-inventory items, supplies
  • Record keeping
  • Employee training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management
  • Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, from 3:30pm to 12:00am
  • Assist in departmental coverage as required, including weekends as required
  • Ensure safety and department security are maintained
  • Work in a safe manner. Be conscientious at all times, of safety on the job, by adhering to the established health and safety measures and practices of the company. Report workplace hazards and any violations of the relevant legislation to the employer.
Your passion is sparked by:
  • 4-6 years of previous warehouse experience is required
  • Machine trained is a requirement
  • Good basic math skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
  • Considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations
  • Meet weight lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
