Job Description

WarehouseSupervisorThe Materials Supervisor position , under general supervision, is responsible for determining the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule. Additional responsibilities include initiating purchase or production requisitions as appropriate.Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966 .Performance Expectations

  • Manage all material personnel.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory numbers.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation and forecasts.
  • Minimize transportation costs for outgoing shipments and incoming materials.
  • Develop strategies towards meeting objectives
  • Ensure customer scheduling requirements are met through credible attainable production schedules.
  • Monitor capacity to ensure coordination between production schedules and shipping schedules to meet customer standards.
  • Organizing material requirements as to; k eep purchased inventory and supplies without slowing down production with waiting time.
  • Optimize sources to obtain best costs.
  • Monitor supplier compliance performance as to delivery, service and costs.
  • Control work-in-process and finished goods inventory.
  • Monitor production use and scrap factor.
  • Verify receipt of correct types and quantities of products.
Credentials
  • Graduate of Certified Materials Management Program .
  • Minimum two years of previous experience.
  • Read safe handling procedures and hazard warnings on labels of products such as solvents and on work area signage.
  • Experience with FIFO inventory planning.
  • Ability to select suppliers for fabrication materials, tools and shop supplies.
  • Ability to work as a team influencer coordinating work processes for material handlers, machinists and others .
  • Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
