This role is vital in developing key competencies to support organizational learning to accelerate growth through development of people. As part of the Human Resources team, you will work with leadership teams to improve individual and team effectiveness; support the design, development and implementation of Learning and Development projects; and work with the business on critical change and transformation activities projects and programs. This role will support Syngenta’s ongoing values in ED&I to ensure a consistent thread throughout our Learning and Development programs.We have a Flexible Work Location approach and this role can be based in Guelph, ON, Calgary, AB or remotely across CanadaWhat you get to do
  • Champion people and culture initiatives with assigned client groups through consultation, facilitation and coaching leaders and sources solutions/tools to support their individual and team engagement initiatives as well as overall corporate culture and overall talent development plans
  • Consult with leaders to target learning and development strategies aligned with Canada’s long term Talent Strategy
  • Accelerate development for identified talent through tailored/targeted development plans and actions
  • Develop leadership competencies (including assessments and emerging leaders programming)
  • Create and execute learning and development offerings and opportunities for the Canadian business
  • Create and execute increased visibility and transparency of development opportunities
  • Work with various vendors to support Syngenta’s learning and development goals
  • Works closely with the Head of HR to develop and ensure on-going implementation of ED&I Strategy across Canada
  • Provides oversight of ERG strategy and functioning
  • Proactively partners with leaders to identify people issues or organizational design challenges and provides advice and expertise to help develop creative solutions
  • Leads and supports organizational people and culture initiatives and programs (i.e. diversity/inclusion, leadership development, policy development, engagement survey etc.)
  • Partner with peers in the People & Organizational Development (POD) community to apply and support developed programming and ensure relevant application locally
Are you someone with
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Business, Organization Development, Education/Adult Learning, HR Management)
  • 10 years’ minimum of focused talent management and organization development experience, and learning and development program management required (preferably including significant experience in multinational organizations)
  • ED&I principles in program design and practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations, long-term focus, ability to conduct deep needs analysis, demonstrated strategic thinking
  • Strong customer, relationship management, communication, organizational and project management skills
  • Technical skills in MS Office, including advanced PowerPoint & Excel
  • Excellent online technology skills (Teams, Zoom etc.) and other relevant technologies
  • Excellent virtual and face to face facilitation/presentation skills
  • Strong eye for business combined with high degree of impact & influence
