Job Number: 52537Group: Magna ExteriorsDivision: PolyconJob Type: Permanent/RegularLocation: GUELPHRole SummaryPay Rate; $30.05 per hour (after probation) - Afternoon Shift – 3:30pm-11:30pmMagna offers excellent Medical and Dental Benefits; 90% coverage + $2,000/year for dental coverage, Profit Sharing, Gym on-site, Education assistance, Employee barbecue, Christmas lunch and Magna employee discounts for products and services.Key ResponsibilitiesWe are in search of a skilled Process Technician, responsible for adjusting the machine settings to ensure part quality meets our customer specifications. Collect and analyze dimensional data to validate process settings.

  • Support production by adjusting process settings to fix part quality issues
  • Troubleshoot & problem-solve to identify issues, and adjust machine parameters
  • Root cause analysis
  • Ensure Yield and Cycle time targets are met each shift
  • Document & report of non-conformance, poor yield, poor cycle time, or other process related items
  • Report ongoing issues to Process and Production Team Leaders
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform all job functions in a safe, healthful, and environmentally conscious manner
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Previous experience as a process or set up technician
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communications skills are required
  • Ability to collect and analyze data using Excel
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be Flexible to rotate between shifts as required
