Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a full time Processing Operator II at our Guelph, Ontario site.The Johnson & Johnson Guelph site is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, the worlds most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products, as well as a provider of related services, for the consumer, pharmaceutical, and medical devices and diagnostics markets. In Canada, Johnson & Johnson Inc. markets innovative consumer products focusing on skin and hair care, baby care, wound care, oral health and womens health as well as a broad range of well-known and trusted over-the-counter products.Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of a new entity within New Consumer Health and your employment would be governed by New Consumer Health’s employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.Are you interested in making a difference in a thriving diverse company culture, that celebrates the uniqueness of our employees and is committed to inclusion Apply today!Working independently, but collaboratively as part of the team, a Processing Operator II is responsible for completing the high-quality manufacturing of our bulk pharmaceutical products in strict accordance to our regulated procedures. The core manufacturing functions include Compression and Compression Tooling Management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safety working environment by: completing all assigned safety training on time, promoting and maintaining a safe working environment, and reporting all potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure quality and compliance by: Maintaining a sound understanding of GMPs and GDPs, completing all GMP training as scheduled, and rigorously following all compliance procedures applicable to the tasks being completed.
  • Exercise the highest level of integrity in the tasks performed. Report all deviations or excursions from processes in a timely and prompt manner, seeking input and guidance on corrections.
  • Adopt a behaviour of employee involvement and dedication to doing the job efficiently and right the first time.
  • Tooling experience and knowledge of troubleshooting/repair, equipment prototyping, mechanical parts design, materials/metal working is required
QualificationsEducation:At minimum a Grade 12 diploma, but strong preference is given to those who have completed post-secondary education in Science or Engineering fields.Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in a regulated GMP (Food or Pharmaceutical) manufacturing environment. Prior experience in solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing in a definite asset.
  • Clear communicator, able to champion a strong and reciprocal team environment.
  • A demonstrated mechanical proficiency is of benefit given the need to disassemble, clean, and reassemble processing equipment.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel) is a clear benefit, as is prior experience with SAP.
