Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Quality Specialist II, located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Based in Markham, Ontario, Johnson & Johnson Inc. employs approximately 400 people and is supported by the Guelph, Ontario manufacturing site.Role summary:The Quality Specialist II role will be supporting quality assurance activities that enable product launch, product approval, post launch changes and document management processes. This includes responsibility for supplier investigations (chemical raw materials and packaging components), SAP master data, APQR (APR), material specifications and other quality systems such as EtQ Change Control.Major responsibilities:

  • Authoring Annual Product Quality Reviews
  • Authoring supplier investigations through close partnership with the supplier
  • Quality related SAP master data creation / maintenance
  • Support the end to end lifecycle of site documentation (SOPs, test methods, specifications)
  • Independent Quality Approver for material specifications
QualificationsEducation and experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a Quality or R&D environment in the pharmaceutical, food or other regulated industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting non-conformance investigations is preferred.
  • Strong personal computing skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word; proficient knowledge of SAP or related ERP system is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices required.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.
