Job Description

We’re growing!And looking for passionate, driven and energetic candidates to join our team for the position of Service Desk Technician located in our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario.Job DescriptionAre you passionate about helping people with their technical woesDo you enjoy the mysteries of problem solving over the phoneAs a Skyline Service Desk Technician, you would support all staff, including remote field staff, with their use of company IT equipment such as computers, printers, iPads and mobile phones, while maintaining focus on our shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.What you will be doing:

  • Provide help desk technical support to users.Organize group training or develop technical support documents, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues occurring onsite at Skyline corporate offices and properties including such things as computer problems, phone problems, and mobile phone issues.
  • Maintain equipment at regional offices and remote locations.
  • Utilize a helpdesk ticketing system for managing issues received from users.
  • Maintain fleet of mobile devices in the field.
  • Maintain security of Resident Manager personal computers and email by resetting passwords as needed.
  • Develop and maintain inventory of all I.T. equipment deployed in corporate offices and in the field including make, model, serial number and purchase date.

  • A technical guru with knowledge of mainstream software and hardware products (e.g. MS Office, Windows, iPhones) and associated set-up and management.
  • Love for setting up typical desktop and laptop workstations and troubleshooting problems (we’re growing…so there’s lots of this).
  • Proficient in Internet related applications and web browsers.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education or equivalent workplace experience.
