Job Description

Job ID: 15082Reporting to the Eastern Equipment Manager, the Shop Coordinator provides support and assistance to the equipment group and ensures the smooth management and administration of the shop. Responsibilities are varied but include documentation and information management, record keeping, assisting with tracking, auditing, ensuring quality control and safety, and general administrative tasks.Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties related to shop administration including management of shop related information and documentation, maintenance of equipment files, processing of invoices and bills of lading, tracking and reporting of maintenance and repair costs.
  • Review of compliance, auditing, tracking and preparation of government and regulatory documents.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on equipment utilization GPS and Fuel Card
  • Process purchase order requests, track work and purchase orders and provide weekly updates on budgets. Coordinate delivery of supplies, parts and inventory, following up on discrepancies or variances
  • Research cost efficient solutions for products and suppliers.
  • Performs other related administrative or project based duties as assigned.
  • Enter hours, GPS fuel card admin as well as onboard vehicles and rentals
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in business administration or related field of study.
  • Personal interest or background in mechanics is an asset.
  • CVOR experience an asset
  • Vehicle insurance/ registration experience an asset
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products and other various computer programs
  • Exceptional analytical, planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to lead self, show initiative and commitment to task.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
