Job Description

We’re growing! And looking for a passionate, driven and energetic candidate to join our team for the position of Specialized Process Legal Support Supervisor located in Guelph, Ontario.Job DescriptionLooking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional, and fun environment This position is responsible for primary direction and supervision of legal support staff engaged in specialized transactions. At the outset this position will primarily involve transactions relating to the Skyline Clean Energy Fund but may in future expand into other specialized transactions. In addition, this position will perform all requirements of a real estate law clerk in the Skyline Legal Real Estate Department, including all aspects of real estate practice (with an emphasis on the buying, selling and financing of apartment buildings and commercial properties) including conducting all necessary due diligence searches, conducting and reviewing title searches, preparing title requisitions, drafting closing documents, closing transactions with the use of Teraview, coordinating minor variance and severance applications, etc.What we look for:

  • An administrative wizard who has a good grasp of database management and an eye for details.
  • Organization - youre proud of you ability to manage deadlines and tasks like a boss
  • Reading and accurately interpreting documents as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence (some find it boring, but you find it exciting!).
  • Communication expert (emails, phone calls, etc.) with a focus on being professional and timely.
  • Experience managing and overseeing administrative staff.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and integrity.
  • At least one to two year’s supervisory or team leader experience is required, formal leadership training is an asset
  • Minimum seven years of demonstrated transactional real estate law clerk experience required
