Join us as we transform our digital platforms and build a visionary experience of seamless and compelling journeys for our clients, advisors and operational teams across Canada.As the Technical Specialist, you will ensure the stability, availability and integrity of technical platforms and environments within the organization. You will provide predictive and proactive technical analysis to ensure optimal performance. You will support other teams with design and research expertise, project consulting and incident response using corporate Information Technology (IT) service delivery management tools and processes.The areas you have proficiency with:

  • Site Reliability Engineering applications Splunk and Dynatrace, including the implementation of early detection capabilities and operational dashboards.
  • Application/system incident support and application issue resolution, including identification, assessment, recommendation, escalation, reporting, documentation and communication.
  • The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concerning digital and mobile application solutions.
How you will create impact:
  • Collaborating with business partners to identify technology performance and service impacts, configuring changes to support ongoing quality of service and providing risk assessment and analysis to determine how new or modified technology will integrate and impact various environments (technology currency).
  • Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving complex software/application problems using corporate IT service delivery management tools and processes.
  • Prioritizing and analyzing patterns based on incoming requests to enhance service.
  • Planning and managing large and complex implementations and projects, including developing detailed work tasks.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership and consultation to internal stakeholders and external partners as the key representative of a particular technology domain or project.

To join our team:
  • You have five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • You have ITIL v3 of v4 certification; preferred.
What you need to know:
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
  • Rotational on-call schedule, with shifts during evenings and weekends.
  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background checks as a condition of employment if you are a successful candidate.
