Our success is driven by our skilled and diverse team who are passionate about excellence, innovation, and agility.The Chief Data Officer (CDO) will deliver senior executive leadership across the enterprise in the construction, execution, and refinement of data-enabled strategies to empower business outcomes through analytics. Operating as a catalyst and champion to embed a cross-organizationally data-driven mindset, new data exploitation practices, and instilling excellence through enterprise data governance and information policies. The Chief Data Officer will work in close collaborative partnership with the VP of Property and Casualty Business Intelligence (BI) and Chief Analytics Officer, the VP’s in IT, and other business key stakeholders in the development of enterprise-wide data capabilities to enable strategic and tactical business opportunities.How you will create impact:· Execute a Current State Assessment by strategically evaluating our existing enterprise-wide data assets, capabilities and maturity. Tactically defining road mapping instituting a target operating model to execute on an enterprise-wide data strategy.· Establishing, managing, and refining data governance and data management that will form the baseline for effective policies, processes, and standards that ensure data represents “One Version of the Truth” and overall trust in enterprise data.· In collaboration with the Enterprise and Business stakeholders lead regulatory and compliance programs related to data assets acting as a corporate representative to regulators and in other forums.· Organize and co-lead data and analytics governance council(s) to provide executive sponsorship and oversight of data governance policy creation and compliance.· Fostering collaboration between technology, business, and analytics functions to drive strategic data integration across lines of businesses (LOBs) to create insights focused on client-level value, and to develop reusable data assets supported by proper tools and processes.· Operating as a trusted executive partner for business data enablement by establishing the vision for managing data as a business asset and equipping the organization with skillsets to develop their own data-related efforts at pace with the accelerated rate of innovations in IT/data/analytics.· Inspiring and motivating your leadership team to define and execute strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing leadership talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, diverse, and agile culture.· Build a data strategy and an execution plan that provides the data elements to further enable our real time Analytics capabilities and power our Guided Omni and Distribution Strategies.How you will succeed:

  • You are integral in identifying and implementing the long-term vision for the organization and apply a strategic mindset to adjust business priorities based on emerging trends.
To join our team:· You have 10 or more years of business experience, ideally in business management, legal, financial, information technology and/or IT management, including 5 or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams.· You have a post-secondary degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience.· You have business acumen and experience strategically leading and executing complex integrating, enterprise processes, information strategies, and designing strategic metrics and governance.· You have experience as a data and analytics leader; including in-depth skills to utilize and leverage data and analytics to support corporate strategy, technology, processes and data governance.What you need to know:
