Job Description

Warehouse Coordinator/SupervisorThe Warehouse Coordinator has accountability for the processes of all Warehouse areas in the Royal Canin Guelph Facility.The role is responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement by establishing work standards and providing coaching & feedback without direct people management responsibilities.This role will oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of inbound/outbound goods, preparing relevant documentation and maximize warehouse productivity. They have thorough technical understanding and knowledge of supply chain, warehouse operations and optimizing warehousing processesWhat are we looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations in a fast-paced environment
  • College/University degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics or a related field preferred
  • Will consider work experience if it is extensive and progressive with respect to increasing responsibility, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in JIT warehouse operations, logistics, operations planning, and inventory management
  • Demonstrated experience in leading others
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, coaching and communication skills
  • Demonstrated Capabilities for problem solving and continuously improvement
  • Experience in warehousing environment and operations management including experience with material handling equipment and transportation management
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, SPC – Lean Six Sigma
  • Clear ability to relate to and motivate people and effectively train
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, coaching and training skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • One of the regular day for this role is a weekend day
What would be your key responsibilities
  • Role models and supports improvements in Safety, Quality, and Performance
  • Works with broader team to ensure that all Area and factory metrics are achieved
  • Escalation point to resolve warehouse & trailer yard issues with external suppliers and internal Associates
  • Leads Root Cause and Corrective Actions investigations for their area and implement improvements/systems to ensure issues are not repeated
  • Standardization of equipment setup and Operation in their area and across all shifts
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards for all material handling equipment & warehouse area ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develops the Warehouse Master/90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability
  • Executes monthly review accountability of Area Master Plans and results. Anticipates change and develops plans to effectively implement changes
  • Various other duties as assigned
