The incumbent should embody a commitment to student success and professional development and demonstrate capacity for leadership in a multi-cultural organization. In addition, the successful candidate must ensure currency and relevance of the teaching material and assessment techniques, must participate in recruitment and program promotion initiatives, and participate in professional development activities at Northern College relevant to his/her own needs.A detailed description for this program and the courses taught within it is available on Northern College’s website.QUALIFICATIONS:The incumbent will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or a related field;
  • Master’s degree in business, law, or a related field (asset);
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in the legal field;
  • Licensed member in good standing with Law Society of Ontario (asset);
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite);
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Extensive knowledge of teaching methodologies (asset); and
  • Teaching experience at the post secondary level and/or using a variety of modes of delivery (video, web-based, etc.) (asset).
