Job Description

Location: Haldimand County, OntarioAt Morison Insurance, our Team shapes who we are and the excellent service we provide our customers. We offer a wide variety of insurance products with offices located in Hamilton, St. Catharines, Oakville, Hagersville, Port Dover, Waterford, Simcoe and Tillsonburg.We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to join our Commercial Lines Team as an Account Manager in our Mid-Market Division.Position SummaryAs a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and servicing small business to mid-market commercial accounts and farm accounts
  • Reviewing renewals with clients, providing coverage recommendations and risk management strategies
  • Assisting clients with their day-to-day inquiries
  • Opportunities to write New Business through referrals
  • Marketing existing accounts to insurance companies
  • Develop insurance market knowledge in order to know where a risk will fit
  • Understand wordings and coverages to be able to compare insurance policies and quotes
Skills you will need to succeed:
  • A Registered Insurance Broker License (RIBO)
  • Minimum of 3 years knowledge and experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, and Farm Insurance
  • Completed, enrolled, or interested in enrolling in Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses
  • College Insurance Program Diploma or an undergraduate degree is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills in order to build relationships and maintain long-term growth and retention
  • Accomplished with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to meet client needs
  • Goal-oriented, highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results
  • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • A commitment to expand your Commercial Insurance knowledge
