Job Description

As a global-leading health and well-being provider - encompassing physical, mental and financial health - TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.The incumbent provides administrative support to a team in the Pension Administration and Consulting practice areas in the Halifax Office.Responsibilities :

  • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with knowledge of Adobe/PDF Exchange functionality is an asset
  • Data entry on various systems including -in house pension administration system and excel worksheets
  • Performs mail merges for mass mailings to clients, coordinates the print and mailing process of same, as well as outsourcing where necessary
  • Provides general administration, including faxing, time tracking, client database updates, scanning, photocopying opening mail, answering phone and filing
  • Preparation of monthly client billings
  • Supports other administrative assistants when required
  • Assists with special projects, as required
  • Performs other administrative tasks, as required
  • Ensures the office remains clean and organized
Requirements :
  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 2-5 years related experience
  • Advanced skills with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • WorkDay an asset
  • Basic knowledge of pension, benefits and investment terms and concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer focus and telephone skills and protocol
  • Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence
  • Highly organized : pay close attention to detail and ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
