Job Description

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS), the world’s largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and looking for a Business Systems Analyst.This remote Nova Scotia based position will be responsible for supporting and improving business processes in systems throughout the firm. This would entail working on custom Excel models and report designs within SRS’s General Ledger system, Infor SunSystems, as well as supporting and improving SRS’s use of Microsoft Power Platform, including SharePoint, Lists, Power Automate, and Power BI, among others. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain Excel Accounting models for staff to use.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports for staff to use.
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Migration support of takeover client accounts.
  • Provide system support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Identify system performance issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
Attributes and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with Visual Basic or other programming language.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Lists, etc.)
  • Ability to build financial models in Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with SunSystems V6.4 and Infor Q amp;A.
    • Understanding of accounting principles.
    • Experience with SharePoint.
