Our team is looking for a Coordinator, Community Fundraising in Nova Scotia working 35 hours per week. To learn more about MS Canada, the impact we make, and what makes this a great place to work, we encourage you to visit www.mscanada.ca.The impact you will have:As the Coordinator, Community Fundraising, you will be primarily responsible for executing all MS Walk and MS Bike events for Atlantic Canada and other initiatives in the assigned portfolio to deepen community engagement and generate fundraising revenue for the organization’s overall mission. This role engages and partners with MS community members to consistently enhance the access to benefits for those individuals who are deeply affected by MS. As Coordinator, Community Fundraising, you will:

  • Recruit, build, and maintain community relationships, including participants, donors, local sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Engage new and existing MS community members on teams, individual participants, local sponsors and volunteer, on various aspects of the event, including providing direct stewardship and fundraising coaching.
  • Deliver exceptional support to all constituents, including sponsors, donors, and volunteers. 
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and implementing events and initiatives in the assigned portfolio to meet revenue targets.

  • Has a proven track record in customer service, adept at nurturing relationships with participants
  • Values teamwork and adept at fostering successful collaborations with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrates skills in conflict resolution and maintaining confidentiality, with sensitivity to issues of disability and diversity
  • Is adaptable and capable of managing diverse and evolving workloads effectively
  • Will organize logistics for MS Walk events in all four Atlantic Provinces, MS Bike and other events, including pre-event setup, on-site coordination, and post-event wrap up
  • Collaborates effectively with members of the MS Community and external partners
  • Is available to work the occasional weekend during event season to ensure smooth operations
  • Has a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs, is considered an asset
  • Has a certification in First Aid/CPR considered an asset
