Parrishamp; Heimbecker, Limited (P amp;H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Forklift Operator for our Milling division based in Halifax, NSP amp;H MillingP amp;H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P amp;H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P amp;H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.Wage and BenefitsWage: $25.81 per hourParrishamp; Heimbecker Ltd has a people-first approach therefore, we offer many perks to our hard-working staff! Your RoleReporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for operating material and handling equipment for the purpose of moving, loading materials and product in accordance with production standards and quality standards.Day to Day
  • Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
  • Careful handling of product to avoid damage.
  • Operate heavy equipment safe manner.
  • Complete trailer and container inspections.
  • Accurate and timely completion of shipping documents.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Work overtime when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have or be able to obtain valid forklift license.
  • Ability to lift over 50lbs.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Macola, etc.)
  • Reliable, consistent attendance.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and organized.
  • Ability to follow instructions in a competent manner with limited supervision.
