Job Description

Matrix is urgently hiring local labourers for a long term project in Halifax, NS. Overtime may be offered each week Key Responsibilities:

  • General cleaning of shops, facility, on projects and anywhere else needed
  • Help with setting up for specified work on a vessel or in the shop
  • Preparing and applying coating
  • Helping with care and preservation, performing fire watch and confined watch duties
  • Assisting in docking and undocking vessels
  • Surface preparationamp; Coating (i.e. Solvent Cleaning, Hand Tool Cleaning, Power Tool Cleaning, and Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal)
  • Assisting others wherever assistance is needed
Requirements:
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job
  • A pre-employment Government Security Clearance/background check will need to be completed
  • Full PPE+Fit Tested Respirator Mask
Qualifications:
  • Fall Protection
  • WHMIS
  • Forklift Ticket (asset but not required)
