Our work culture is one of collaboration, flexibility, partnership and continuous improvement.The PSC has four key deliverables:Younger Workers: Continue to champion youth hiring and participation of younger workers aged 35 and under in the public service Equity, Diversityamp; Inclusion: Champion equitable access for workers from diverse backgrounds in attracting, hiring, retaining and promoting them in the public service Psychological Healthamp; Safety: Continue to support the psychological health and safety of Nova Scotia public service employees Human Resourcesamp; Employee Relation Solutions: Continue to lead public service innovation by providing human resource and employee relation solutionsFor more information on the Public Service Commission please visit the following link: https://beta.novascotia.ca/government/public-service-commissionAbout Our OpportunityIf you consider yourself a problem solver, relationship builder and client-orientated business partner then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!As the Organizational Development Consultant (ODC) you will be accountable for consultation, facilitation and design and delivery of HR related learning and development strategies, programs, services, and initiatives that support departmental leadership and corporate priorities.Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development you will be involved in building strong relationships with clients, working collaboratively and leveraging relationships with subject matter experts across the PSC, external partners, institutions, and interjurisdictional teams to develop and deliver innovative OD solutions to address the strategic business needs of clients.Primary AccountabilitiesSome of the key areas of focus for you include consulting, career development, leadership coaching, process facilitation, e-learning development and advising leaders on talent management, employee engagement, leadership and team development and the development of Organizational Development policies and guidelines.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor #39;s Degree in a related discipline with experience and training in professional development, program/curriculum development, leadership development, training delivery, talent management, facilitation, consultation, and leadership coaching.The ability to design, implement and evaluate training and development programs and the application of adult education principles is required.Essential to the role are strong relationship building, communication, partnership, coaching and organizational skills coupled with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.Assets for this role include:Degree/Diploma/Certificate in adult education and/or education Certified administrator of recognized assessment tool(s) (i.e.: Insights, Emotional Intelligence, Situational Leadership, etc.) Training in career development including career theories. Certified in career assessments or other psycho-metric assessments.EquivalencyAn equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered.
