We support our people in developing the technical, business and professional skills needed to be successful.The Strategic Programs team is responsible for strategic initiatives sponsored by Group Risk Management and Capital Markets. In this role, you will lead the planning, organizing and implementation of 2 to 3 application delivery projects, supporting RBCs Risk Modernization Program and FRTB Basel3 requirements.What will you do

  • Drive delivery of 2 to 3 concurrent initiatives using appropriate methods, including Agile and Iterative Waterfall
  • Manage status updates, project financials, product demos and retrospectives
  • Plan and manage detailed schedules, identify issues and escalate as required to program committees, complete risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. Vendors, RBC IT teams, Product)
  • Build / present reporting for management level presentations
  • Coach the scrum team to apply appropriate processes to create successful products
  • Establish strong working relationships across technical/business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners
  • Collaborate with various groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes
What do you need to succeedMust-have
  • 5+ years of Agile Project Management and/or Senior-level Scrum Master experience which includes both waterfall and Agile projects
  • Certified Scrum Master with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint and advanced knowledge of Agile workflows (milestones, critical paths, productamp; sprint backlogs, work back schedules, release burndown)
  • Advanced knowledge of change management and risk management, working knowledge of Software development lifecycle (SDLC); Agileexperience fostering team improvements through standard Agile processes and ceremonies
  • Proven ability to manage high visibility projects with third party vendors and significant technology components along with having advanced communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Nice-to-have
  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) - Preferably in Business, Technology or Financial Services
  • Previous experience working in Market Risk / Capital Markets / Banking
  • Agile coaching certification and experience
