Job Description

  • Airbus is paving the way to Aircraft Autonomy with a stepwise projects launched.
  • Achieving a Safety level beyond the current State of the Art is at the core of these projects.
  • The System Safety team in Germany is looking for talented candidates who can lead the Safety activities of these projects by bringing their experience in their field of expertise as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities and activities of the role
  • As part of the Airbus Autonomy project team, the job holder will be responsible for Safety Analysis of various Cabin Systems including Cabin Pressurization, Cabin Management System, Oxygen System, Door Systems
  • You will coordinate and perform safety analyses and provide safety expertise to the system design teams, with responsibility for authoring, contributing to, and/or reviewing the following:
    • Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs)
    • Definition of Safety and Reliability requirements cascaded to System Design offices and suppliers
    • System Safety Analyses (PSSAs, SSAs)
    • Common Cause Analyses, including Particular Risk Analyses (PRAs), Zonal Safety Analyses (ZSAs), Common Mode Analyses (CMAs)
    • Failure Modes and Effects Analyses and Summaries (FMEAs, FMESs)
  • The activity will involve assessing technical concepts and their installation, while keeping a broad understanding of impacts of potential failures on aircraft functions
  • You will also drive or contribute to initiatives that improve our way of working and support digitalisation of our methods
What we need from you!
  • A strong knowledge of Aircraft functions and System design: 5 years or more of relevant experience in Engineering is expected, with a strong background in Aircraft System as a plus
  • Ability to interface with many different stakeholders, from different technical domains, different functions, and different countries
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to simplify complex technical topics and drive changes
  • A mindset of continuous Learning and desire to develop your safety knowledge and experience to a deep level
  • Advanced level in English and German.
