We #39;re one global team - 47,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job DescriptionJoin AECOM as Archaeological Field Supervisors!We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Archaeological Field Supervisors I, II, and III to join our team, based out of multiple offices in Ontario.Important Note: LiUNA has been certified by the Labour Relations Board to represent individuals in these positions. The parties have entered into a collective bargaining agreement, and any candidate hired for these roles will be kept informed of any changes to their employment terms and conditions due to this process.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:- BA/BSc in archaeology or related field + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.- Valid Research or Professional class license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourismamp; Culture Industries.- Valid Driver #39;s License.Preferred Qualifications:- 1+ field seasons independently supervising teams during Stage 2-4 archaeological assessments under own issued Research License required.- Ability to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork in all weather conditions, including lifting 40 lbs and being capable of repetitive movement.- Experience operating high-precision GPSamp; Total Station equipment and data recording programs (i.e., Fulcrumamp; ArcGIS Collector).- Firm understanding of MHSTCI Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.- Artifact identification skillsamp; experience for both Indigenousamp; Euro-Canadian material.- Prioritization of healthamp; safety and adherence to all AECOM procedures, including strict Covid-19 measures.- First Aid Certification is an asset.- Willingness to work out of town within Ontario for extended periods of time.- Sensitivityamp; awareness combined with a respectful attitude towards Indigenous cultureamp; people is a must. Collaboration in a team environment is key.- Reliable transportation toamp; from the assigned office or designated project meet spot is essential.- Responsible approachamp; understanding of the production rate of the field team, working within set timelines.- Motivate field teams in challenging conditions to successfully complete assigned work.- Willingness to continually learnamp; take direction from Fieldamp; Office Managers.- Provide clearamp; accurate communication regarding field discoveries, field strategies,amp; staff issues between the fieldamp; office teams.- Clearly communicateamp; document discussions with field technicians regarding performanceamp; behavior (i.e., performance reviews).- Ability to take clearamp; accurate field notes.Join Our Team!
