Job Description

Hours: Permanent full time. Tuesday to Saturday- rotations of days, afternoons and nights.Who We AreAt Good Shepherd, we are committed to providing hope and enhancing dignity and self-determination for individuals and families. To learn more about Good Shepherd, visit our website at Good Shepherd Centres - Faith in People.This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - WOMEN #39;s SERVCES - Mary #39;s PlaceHow You Will Make an ImpactThe successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and non-residential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment.

  • Develop and maintain a caseload
  • Complete an intake and assessment on each resident
  • Design, implement, in consultation with supervisor, an interview schedule that will provide an evaluation ofquot;quality of life quot; improvement of successful program participants
  • Maintain confidentiality with regards to clients/staff and Centre #39;s records
What You #39;ll Bring to Our Team
  • A Completed Post-secondary education is required
  • Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting cis women, trans and non-binary individuals including violence, abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use
  • Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
  • A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity is essential
  • CPR certification
  • A valid Ontario driver #39;s license (G2) is also an asset
  • The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
