With a strong background in new construction and with our existing and recently acquired land sites the company has a pipeline of mid- and high-rise development and construction projects on different stages of implementation. How You Will Make an ImpactThis is a full-time on-site role for a Development and Construction Coordinator on the Client`s side with Junior Project Manager growth perspective at Good Shepherd. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating development and construction projects, managing budget, project documentation and controlling project timelines.The successful candidate will work to coordinate Development and Site Plan Applications (ZAP, OPA, COA, SPA) for construction projects. Be responsible for coordinating concept development and coordination among architectural, estimation, construction, engineering, and property maintenance teams. Experience in managing public hearings, crane swing and tieback agreements, and coordinating multiple permits or applications coordination (demolition, shoring, excavation, and building) is a plus.In this role, you will work on abatement and demolition coordination, shoring, dewatering, and the preparation of large construction tender packages (CCDC 2 and 5). You will also coordinate scheduling using MS Project, estimating and budgeting, and coordinating value management and value engineering exercises. RSC preparation, excavation and soil remediation processes coordination experience is a plus. A key aspect of the role involves coordinating agreements with city authorities for shoring, development, and shared facilities. The ideal candidate should have experience in contract administration from client side, tracking change orders (COs), construction directives (CDs), site instructions (SIs), and shop drawings (SDs), as well as coordinating CMHC applications.Additional responsibilities include leading progress meetings, preparing agendas, tracking payment certificates, and analyzing and giving recommendations for tender quotes. The candidate would also be responsible for coordinating demolition, abatement and disconnections, shoring and dewatering, piling, excavation and soil remediation, waterproofing, site servicing, landscaping, formwork, concrete and rebar placing, elevators, windows, Insulation, facades, roofing, DW, carpentry and doors, finishing, hoists, MEP, Data and security systems, sprinklers and alarms, appliances and millwork, hardware, waste disposal equipment, etc. You will be involved with tracking and documenting construction progress, commissioning and occupancy processes, closeout package reviews, permit closing and deficiency work. You will also collaborate closely with the Commissioning Agent, address interior design, accessibility, signage, and insurance issues, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed to the highest standards.You don #39;t need to have all the listed experience, but please share which processes you #39;ve been involved in and to what extent in a Cover Letter alongside your Resume detailing your work across the development, preconstruction, and construction management stages.What You #39;ll Bring to Our Team

  • A degree or certification in Architecture, Civil Construction Management, Engineering or related field
  • 2- 4 years of experience as a construction coordinator or a Junior Project Manager.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the values of Hospitality, Quality, Adaptability, Responsibility, Availability and Dignity.
  • Experience in Construction and Development industry
  • Site coordination and Project Management expertise
  • Budgeting and Project Control experience
  • Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus
