Job Description

Asset Protection ManagerPermanent Full -TimeRelocation to the North Required OverviewAs an Asset Protection Manager, you are accountable to:

  • Monitor and investigate cash over/ shorts and shrink results looking for trends and patterns
  • Monitor and investigate inventory results as required
  • Oversees security of employees and customers across all housing, stores in market in accordance with company policies and practices
  • Report Loss prevention activities weekly to Senior Manager, Loss Prevention and keeps clear and concise notes for any loss prevention or workplace safety investigations
  • Conducts internal audits to ensure execution of all loss prevention or workplace safety investigations
  • Conducts internal/external loss prevention investigations as required
  • Provides training on loss prevention and shrink control protocols
  • Conducts audits to ensure execution of all loss prevention policies and procedures

Job Experience, Education and Qualifications
  • Law and security administration degree or diploma or previous law enforcement experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in security and/or loss prevention is required
  • Successful and recent completion of “Use of force training” is required
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full –time basis without restrictions
  • Must have a valid provincial driver’s license
  • Able to satisfy a current criminal records check and child abuse registry
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of the federal/provincial/territorial regulations and laws related to retail crimes
  • Good working knowledge of a citizens powers of arrest and use of force as per the criminal code of Canada
  • Good mediation skills or experience with non-confrontational techniques
  • First Aid and or First Responder training required and required safety protocols

Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time if required
