We are seeking an ambitious, nimble and collaborative journalist with a bottomless well of story ideas to work in Northern Canada as part of the cohort of Meta and Canadian Press News Fellows. This is a 12-month, full-time temporary position.We are flexible as to where the position will be based, and will work with the successful candidate to finalize this detail. Ideally, it would be Iqaluit, Yellowknife or Whitehorse.The successful candidate will be a university graduate in journalism and/or relevant public policy disciplines. The goal of the program is to increase regional level reporting on important stories from spot news to issue-driven coverage, presenting national context that explores consequences and solutions around a variety of issues.The successful candidate will be detail oriented and well organized, and comfortable working alone and being supervised from a distance.
