This role involves the assembly and adjustment of various types of gears, bearings and other machined parts to complete the assembly of large complex products. Following written work instructions and procedures and working to precision fit and assembly of the prefabricated parts; to form sub-assemblies and products that require close tolerances to ensure a smooth operation. Using precision measuring instruments including faro arm, micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges and operating cranes, forklifts and adjustable tables to assist in building larger products. This would include re-assembly and re-aligning until the proper fit or movement is achieved.Establish or adjust work procedures (working with the Manufacturing Support team) and examine products for conformance to specifications and quality standards. Demonstrate methods and provide training to workers in new product introduction (NPI) and changes in current processes. Working with our Manufacturing Support team on recommendations to improve production methods and equipment performance to enhance the quality of our products. Work with Test Development and Manufacturing Production teams and Engineering in the assembly and modification of new and existing products. Experienced in preventative maintenance and able to work in a variety of positions.
